London Chamber of Commerce CEO to keynote Croydon Tech City October event

It is my great pleasure to announce that the Chief Executive of the London Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Colin Stanbridge, will keynote the next Croydon Tech City, on Thursday 26th October, 7pm at Sussex Innovation Centre Croydon. To attend, please register here.

The Media Mogul who supports London’s SMEs

Colin Stanbridge became Chief Executive of the London Chamber of Commerce and Industry – the capital’s largest independent networking and business support organisation – in November 2002.  He is responsible to the Board for all aspects of LCCI work.

This is an opportunity for Croydon’s small businesses to understand how they can benefit from Croydon’s tech economy

Prior to joining LCCI, Colin was Managing Director of Carlton Broadcasting, the London weekday ITV Company from 1996, having joined Carlton as Controller of Regional Affairs in 1993. He became Controller of Public Affairs for Carlton UK Television in 1994.

Stanbridge will be interviewed on the night – and provide context as to how Croydon’s tech and non-tech companies can collaborate to win more business in Croydon and the wider London area.

Croydon Tech City: The UK’s fastest-growing economy and tech ecosystem

Croydon now stands as the UK’s fastest-growing economy driven by its reputation as the “Silicon Valley of South London”.

In a year which has seen successes such as the Home Office centralising all of its technical operations in Croydon – bringing over 1,500 IT developers and contractors working on government biometrics, analytics and web services to the borough, and the Croydon Tech City reputation driving  a 38% surge in office space lettingsthis is a fantastic opportunity for local SMEs of all services and profiles to come and see how they can do business with Croydon’s burgeoning tech cluster.

October’s event is the first of several council sponsored events put on by Croydon Tech City to help connect Croydon’s SMEs and service providers to the area’s tech companies, and will help local SMEs:

  • Understand the work of the London & Croydon Chamber of Commerce

  • Learn about the Croydon Tech City ecosystem and the key players

  • Find out how to connect, collaborate and sell to local tech companies
