Calling all of Croydon’s literary lovers!

Bigger, better, brighter, bolder: the 2018 Croydon Literary Festival would love to hear from you.
In September 2017, the first ever Croydon Literary Festival took place at the David Lean Cinema. Over 250 people attended throughout the day, to listen to speakers such as Joe McGann, Erin Kelly and Louis Barfe; check out stalls run by BookLove, Bookseller Crow and The Ludoquist; and chat to like-minded literary folk about all things bookish in our borough.

The good news is, the festival was such a success, we’re going to be doing it again in 2018… and we want to make it even bigger, brighter and bolder next year. Which is where you come in! We’d love to hear your thoughts on the kind of session you’d like to see at the festival – after all, we want to make the event as inclusive as possible – and know what kind of events you’d like to attend at the 2018 festival. Should there be more events for children? Signing sessions or writers’ workshops? More content specifically tailored to Croydon? A great big party to finish things off with a bang?

It’d be great to hear from Croydon residents with a burning idea for a session

We can’t promise we’ll be able to make it all happen – we’ll do our best! – but it’d be great to hear from Croydon residents with a burningly good idea for a session, or those who have a few thoughts about what the festival should cover off. All ideas are welcome, and if you’d like to be involved next year, do drop us a line too as we’ll be looking for volunteers to help out on the day, and in the lead up to the event, which should be taking place later on in 2018 (date currently TBC, but we’re working on it!).

Please do drop us a line with your ideas on croydonlitfest@gmail.com – we can’t wait to hear from you!
