Last year’s festival attracted more than 12,000 people and a great line up of music, entertainment and fabulous food from different cultures is promised once again.
It has been confirmed that the free event will take place from 12pm to 7pm on Sunday, June 24 in the heart of the borough’s famous Restaurant Quarter on South End, in South Croydon.
Once again South End will be closed to traffic to allow visitors to relax and enjoy the carnival atmosphere.
Those who attend will be able to sample food from all over the world from dozens of street food and restaurant stalls, dine alfresco at tables along the street and watch the street performers and entertainment throughout the afternoon.
Two featured stages will also host acts and bands performing every genre of music from folk and rock to jazz and blues.

At last year’s event, more than 30 restaurants and street traders took part, with stalls set up along the road.
From French crepes and Roman-style pizza to jerk chicken and delicious desserts, there was something for everyone, whatever they fancied eating.
And visitors could wash it all down with a fruit smoothie from Urban Smoothie Bikes, an artisan coffee from Joe + Santini or an alcoholic treat from The Cronx Brewery or Street Cocktails.
Peter Bagatti, SCBA deputy chairman and owner of Bagatti’s Restaurant, on South End, who are taking part in the event, added: “Last year’s festival was a fantastic day which showcased our exciting and fast-changing borough at its very best.
“It brought together people of all backgrounds and cultures to enjoy great food and music in a happy, carnival atmosphere. And bringing people together is what the Croydon Food & Music Festival is all about.”
