StartUp Shortlisted for Two National Awards!
We are excited to announce that we have been shortlisted for the third year running in the annual National Enterprise Network Awards.
This year we have been shortlisted for two awards in the following categories:
Enterprise Support Organisation of the Year
In this category, we have been asked to show evidence that we have enterprise support at our very hearts and have therefore drawn on our experiences this year where we have been involved in projects for those who are disadvantaged, homeless, unemployed or suffering from a disability or mental health issues. We have been actively helping these sectors through our work in the SEEK project that is funded by the National Lottery Fund and European Union and aims to encourage participants to set up their own social enterprise through intensive training and a small start-up fund. And in addition, we helped to deliver Evolve Housing’s new initiative “The Certificate in Business and Entrepreneurship”, supported and endorsed by The Apprentice finalist, local Croydon entrepreneur, Bianca Miller.
Enterprise Team of the Year
Nominees need to show that they have achieved something exemplary, above and beyond the norm! This year, through our team spirit and determination to deliver a great service, we have seamlessly brought our outsourced marketing and events in-house. Also, during the snowy spell earlier in the year, when a gas main was severely damaged by an errant driver resulting in the whole area being evacuated, our team effectively implemented contingency plans to keep up communications with our tenants and clients to ensure that they were fully informed of any developments as they happened, so that they could return to their business practices as soon as it was safe to do so.
The winners will be announced at the National Enterprise Network’s annual conference on 16 November 2018 – so wish us luck and watch this space for further news!
