The Coca Cola Christmas truck is heading to Croydon

When you see the iconic Christmas Coca Cola truck – you know the ‘holidays are coming’.

When our TV screens are lit up by the twinkling Coca Cola Christmas truck you cant help but feel festive and for many this advert marks the beginning of the Christmas season.

And now the trucks are coming to spread some festive magic and you won’t be able to get the ‘Holidays are Coming’ jingle out of your head.

The Coca Cola Christmas truck tour dates and locations for 2018 have been revealed and this year Croydon is on this list.

Now in it’s eighth year, the famous truck stops in Glasgow first of all on Friday and Saturday (November 9 and 10). Over the years it has travelled more than 737,000 miles and visitors have enjoyed 8,772 glistening fairy lights.

Explaining how locations are picked, a Coca Cola spokesman said last year: “We try to cover as much of the country as we can but unfortunately we can’t visit every single town and city.

“To ensure as many people as possible get the opportunity to experience the tour, we update the route every year, making sure we visit locations which are easily accessible from the surrounding areas. ”

Spreading festive joy in towns and cities up and down Britain, the famous truck will also visit places including Bristol, Manchester, Leeds Cardiff, Bournemouth and London’s Jingle Bell Ball at The O2 on December 8 and 9.

Visiting 24 locations nationwide, the last stop on the merry tour will be on Saturday 15 and Sunday 16 December at Croydon’s Valley Retail & Leisure Park, off Purley Way.

Visitors will get the opportunity to see the truck in a glittering winter wonderland setting, take selfies and also enjoy a free 150ml can of Coca Cola zero sugar, Diet Coke or Coca Cola original taste at each stop.

After Croydon, the ironic red truck will then disappear for another year.
